History & Facts

This team has an interesting story. founded in 1929. the early years was OK for the Detroit lions. then known as Portsmouth Spartans . they even won some championships. but since they joined the NFL and changed their name to Detroit Lions things have gone really bad. their last championship was in 1957. they currently hold the record for the longest drought just behind the Arizona cardinals. another interesting record they hold is that they are one of four teams that have never made it to the super bowl. they are also the only team in history to loose all 16 regular games during and entire season.

But in the last two years or so they have improved dramatically and last season they were on fire finishing the season with an almost perfect season redeeming themselves and once again proving that this team could give every one a run for their money.
